The George Washington University's online degree programs in the field of Educational Leadership and
Administration are specifically structured for the working educational
professional. Each program is designed to help you advance your current career,
prepare you to effectively work in today's dynamic and complex educational
environments, and give you the knowledge and skills to explore other options. Each
program's curriculum has been carefully designed to address the current issues
faced by educational leaders and can be completed in under two years.
The core curriculum of the Master of Arts in Education and Human Development (MA) program
consists of 11 courses for a total of 33 credits. The Education Specialist (EdS) core
curriculum consists of 10 courses or 30 credit hours with two pre-requisite
courses and contains a three course focus in Special Education Administration.
You can complete your coursework and interact with instructors and other learners
through GW's unique distance learning format. Students receive multi-level
support including their own personal e-learning student advisor to help them
through the program, and a 24-hour, 7-day a week help desk is available to
answer any technical questions you may have.
GW's Educational Leadership and Administration program is fully accredited by the
National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.
